The Troyan Monastery "Uspenie Bogorodichno"/The Assumption/
The Troyan Monastery "Uspenie Bogorodichno"/The Assumption/ lies at a distance of 10 km east of Troyan in a beautiful site on the bank of the Cherni Osam River. The Troyan Monastery is a monument of culture, which attracts thousands of tourists with its architectural, natural, historic and artistic landmarks. It is not yet proved whether the monastery has existed in the Middle Ages or not.

The Dryanovo Monastery "Saint Archangel Michael"
The Dryanovo Monastery "Saint Archangel Michael" is located at the gorge of the Dryanovska River. It is surrounded by high steep rocks. Built at the time of the Second Bulgarian Kingdom the monastery is demolished after the fall of Bulgaria under the Ottoman yoke.

The Preobrazhenie Monastery, Veliko Turnovo District, is founded at the time of the Second Bulgarian Kingdom in XIII-XIV c. Some evidence tells about a connection with the establishment of the monastery to the second wife of Ivan-Alexander - Sara.

The monastery "Saint Nikola"
The monastery "Saint Nikola" is situated to the southwest of the village of Arbanassi, Veliko Turnovo District, above a steep rocky wreath on a plateau with the same name, hugged in a valley, not far away from the "Jesus' Birth" church. In 1798 during the Kurdzhali attacks the monastery's church is plundered and partially destroyed
